Late Qing and Early Republican Period Chinese Paintings from a Private Toronto Collector (Lots 125-134)

The owner of this collection is originally from Shangdong China and moved to Hong Kong in the 1950’s. It was during this time he became a fervent collector of Chinese scroll paintings. He immigrated with his family to Toronto in 1967, and between 1982 and 1986 he opened up an antique store called the Chinese Antique Gallery on 204 Spadina Avenue.
