Bronze Seated Figure of Buddha, 16th Century

Heavily cast and rendered in dhyanasana pose, the serene and smiling figure with downcast eyes and arched brows framing the slightly rounded face surmounted by a top knot comprised of tightly curled hair, and above a pair of pendulous earlobes, the figure dressed in long and loose robes patterned with a simple floral design, all raised on a double lotus plinth base
height 12.6" — 32 cm.
