Pair of Massive Red Lacquer Compound Cabinets, 19th Century

Comprised of two separate sections each of rectangular shape with centrally hinged doors along the upper and lower cabinets opening to reveal shelves and pull-out drawers in the interior, the whole supported on thick straight legs with metal mounts along the foot and joined by a decorative apron carved in relief, the front with scenes of children, butterflies, and scrolling flora against red lacquer ground
