Complete Suit of Samurai Armour, Edo Period, 18th/19th Century

江戶時代 全套武士鎧甲

Byo Toji Do Gusoku Armour. The helmet consisting of a sixteen-plate bachi fitted with a five-lame shikoro (neck guard) of hinenoform with maedate (crest) in the form of a gold bamboo shoot, the do (chest armour) decorated in black lacquer with black upper plates, at the bottom, three rows of gold lacquered false scales with purple lacing. Box and stand
