Provenance:

Acquired in Canada before 1970.

Note:

The unusual shape and size of current Qianlong vase is rare. A very similar example of almost the same height was sold recently at Christie’s New York, September 19, 2013, lot 1362. The other examples have been published, including one by R. Krahl, Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection, vol. 2, London, 1994, no. 917; one from the Hall Family Collection, sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, May 2, 2000, lot 559; and another sold at Christie's Hong Kong, April 26, 2004, lot 1094.
