serial no. 187362, numbered throughout, octagonal barrel with 'ADDRESS COL. SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA' and 'COLTS PATENT' on frame and stagecoach robbery scene decorated cylinder, engraved on the brass grip 'Presented to Robt. B. Posson, 1st Regt., National Guards, Compy F, Captn Toumy by Wm. S. Wardrop' and 'Peter Thompson 1837' to the underside, butt with monogram W.S.W.
