Provenance:

Private Collection, Montreal

Note:

Little’s early career as a draughtsman is evident in this particular lot with its soft, tonal interpretation of the subject using shades of grey and brown. Rather than add the punches of colour found in many of his urban subjects, the muted tones emphasize the tranquility of the spot, a normally bustling work area, and seem almost to mirror the weather and mood.
