Note:
Using the Group of Seven’s Studio Building in Toronto as their base, Kathleen Daly Pepper and her husband George Pepper, embarked on painting trips across Canada. In speaking of Daly Pepper’s paintings, A.K. Prakash stresses that, “It is not…her subject matter that compels admiration, but the emotion aroused by the meditation of the subject. In its own sphere, her art is without sentimentality and fanciful artifice and has the force of a living representation.”
