Provenance:

Private Collection, Ottawa

Note:

Ted Harrison (1926 – 2015) was born in England, where he studied and taught painting until he moved to the Yukon in 1968. In this lot, colours roll into each other, like sound waves in a symphony, forming four distinct movements. Land and sky are in perfect harmony, emphasized by the near symmetrical balance of the piece. The sun is centered in the composition of the painting, and every peak and crest of mountain points to it.
