SYLVIA SAFDIE (1942 - )

Sylvia Safdie was born in Aley, Lebanon in 1942, grew up in Israel, and moved to Canada in 1953. She graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1975 and has been producing art ever since, along with teaching at Dawson College in Montreal from 1972 to 1987. Safdie has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia, and her work is included in prominent corporate and public collections worldwide. Safdie lives and works in Montreal, Quebec.
