Note:

Rosalind Marshall was born in 1947 in Newport, Wales, the daughter of an officer in the Royal Air Force. Her family immigrated to Canada in 1962, settling in Vancouver. Marshall graduated with honors in Painting from the Vancouver School of Arts in 1970, having studied under Don Jarvis, Bruce Boyd, and Jack Shadbolt, whom she credits for her independent approach to imagery. Marshall later studied ceramics and drawing at High Wycombe College of Art, in England, and printmaking at the Alberta College of Art.

Marshall has been living in Kona, Hawaii, since 2002, where she teaches and continues to work.
