Note:

Carol Selfridge was born in Belleville, Ontario in 1948. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts and Professional Diploma after Degree, which included courses in drawing and painting. Upon graduating, Carol taught high school art in Vancouver until 1974

Richard Selfridge was born in Seattle, Washington in 1943. He graduated with a Bachelor and a Master of Arts from Washington State University in 1973, and a Ph.D (All but Dissertation) in Political Philosophy from the University of Alberta. In 1978, he attended the Banff Centre on a scholarship in 1978 to study slip casting and mold making with Tony Franks and returned in 1985 to study form and function with Wayne Ngan and Walter Keeler. Carol and Richard Selfridge have been working collaboratively since 1974. They live in Edmonton, Alberta.
