Note:

Danielle Lanteigne is a Canadian artist famous for her work in encaustic painting - a technique which consists of combining pigment with beeswax and applying the mixture to canvas or other surfaces. Lanteigne’s works combine geometric shapes and stylized everyday objects, creating new forms such as rectangular lemons or squared apples. She is interested in manipulating the perspectives of objects and her works often having a disappearing vanishing point.

Lanteigne studied at Concordia University and perfected her style under Francois Sullivan, renowned choreographer and artist who was crucial to the formation of the Automatistes. Lanteigne spent the next decade involved in research and in 1992 received the Prix du Conseil de la Culture des Laurentides.
