Note:

James Lahey is a multidisciplinary artist whose diverse aesthetic reflects his craftsmanship and his deep understanding of the art world. Before dedicating himself exclusively to creating art, Lahey worked in the curatorial sphere, notably at the Power Plant, the Art Gallery of Harbourfront, Bruce Mau Design and the Art Gallery of Ontario, in Toronto. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors at the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery and a member of the Acquisitions Committee for the Prints and Drawings Department at the Art Gallery of Ontario. Known for his photorealistic paintings, colourful abstractions, surreal landscapes, seascapes, cloudscapes and vast public projects, Lahey always captures the essence of the moment. His aesthetic is often described as serene, powerful and enigmatic.
