Note:

Nicole Katsuras’s impasto creations burst forth with energetic zeal – large swatches of bold colour dance alongside delicately painted lines. Weaving together seamlessly bright colours with pale hues, the artist’s abstractions convey complex layers that are continually inviting.  In true ode to the impasto technique, Katsuras’s abstract art pays homage to the rich physical qualities of paint as a textured being. The artist’s compositions beam from the centre, serving as a true anchor from which endless energy and movement radiate.

Katsura’s artistic journey has been influenced by educational experiences on both sides of the Atlantic; the artist received her BFA from the University of Toronto (Toronto, ON) and holds an MFA from Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design (London, UK).
