Engraved on the cover rim with an inscription dated 1820, another on the base rim 1956; the finial and rim of cover are both bent; otherwise substantially in good condition; indistinct marks inside cover are not identified; no other marks apparent
On the cover:
“Presented by WILLIAM LANGFORD & CHARLES P. KENNEDY to their estimable & valued friend JOHN FARRAN ESQr. as a small memorial of their unalterable attachment June 1820”
On the base:
“Presented to ROY MILLER with the affection and esteem of his Co-directors of BEHR-MANNING, Australia January 1956”
