Note:

In 1924, Colonel R.Y. Eaton created a fund in memory of Sir Edmund Walker’s death. From this fund was built the Sculpture Court and the Dundas Street entrance of the AGO. This was the occasion of a number of gifts of pictures, notably a collection from Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Cox including a Thomas Gainsborough landscape, a C.F. Daubigny river view, a Ferdinand Victor Roybet portrait and this lot by Jules Dupre later in 1926.
