Acquired by Arnold Warren and Violet Milstead Warren, C.M., Colborne, Ontario direct from the artist in Bali in 1954;
Their Estate

Note:

Arnold Warren and Violet Milstead Warren were sent to Jacarta in 1953 by the Canadian government where Arnold Warren was paid to teach the Indonesian Army to fly. Violet was also a licenced pilot but was not permitted to teach as she was a woman. In 1954, the couple took a holiday in Bali where they purchased this drawing directly from the artist and brought it back to Canada in 1955. Violet Milstead Warren would later go on to win numerous accolades for her achievements in aviation including the Amelia Earhart Award, the Order of Canada (2004) and was inducted into the Canadian Aviation Hall of Fame in 2014.
