European side painted faux lapis lazuli, with uniformed king in bicorn hat, queen in plumed headdress, armed soldiers as pawns, Turkish side faux malachite, with king and queen in turbans, all bishops with scepters, horseheads as knights and turrets as rooks

Lacquer (which is likely later) chipped on many pieces. Blue king missing sword or scepter, blue queen missing right hand, repair to scepter one blue bishop, one green pawn missing sword.
