the 11 inch notched and fullered blade with acid etched Royal emblems, Gaelic motto Cuidich ‘n Righ and battle honours for battle of Assaye, signed S.J. Pillin, 31 Gerrard St., London W., on basket weave carved ebony grip with feather bonnet, gilt metal mounts and bezel set foil back amber glass ‘thistle’ pommel, the leather covered scabbard with applied thistle and regimental badges and with by-knife and fork en suite, with original Moroccan red leather lanyard
