of oval bellied form with twin foliate handles on four claw and ball feet, the body chased with laurel swags and engraved on one side with the Hertel de Rouville family crest and motto HERSE HERSE above initials JR, the domed cover chased with leaves below an acanthus berry finial

engraved under the belly ‘9 MAR: 3:ONGS AMIE:’ and struck with maker’s mark L.A three times

CONDITION DETAILS

Engraved with a crest, motto ‘HERSE HERSE’ and initials IR on one side and ‘9 MAR: 3:ONGS AMIE:’ under the base; minor small dent at side of dome on cover; several others on the body, mainly around the shoulder on either side; feet slightly pushed in; otherwise substantially in good condition; well marked under the base with L•A in rectangle three times
