with winged dolphin handles issuing bifurcated foliate scrolls and flowering foliage, chased on one side with a sailing vessel, the lower body with waves and spume above borders of leaves and flowers on a conforming pedestal foot, the domed cover with entwined triple dolphin finial

Engraved on the reverse with initial A; substantially in good condition; the cover is the later date, by John Hunt, probably an addition rather than a replacement; well marked on the side of the cup below the rim, inside the dome of the cover, on the finial and nut
