the 13.5 inch brass dial with silvered chapter ring, maker’s plaque, subsidiary seconds and alarm rings, and date a lunar calendar apertures under an animated arch with five ships rocking on waves in Amsterdam harbour, in a case with bombé base, the hood surmounted by gilt trumpeting angels and figure of Atlas
