Inscribed verso: Capt. Ventual of Marks Tey co. Essex of the Essex Regiment, husband of Hannah, daughter & co-heir of William Taylor of Lexden, Colchester, he died before 1806.

Hannah died in 1800, she was sister of D[...] Taylor (born 20 Mar. 1765 and died 7 Sep. 1805) wife of William Phillps of Colchester Esq. J. P., he was baptized in 1739 and died 20 Oct, 1812
