In 1924 Gruen released an edition of 600 extravagant pocket watches to commemorate the 50 year anniversary of Dietrich Gruen’s 1874 pinion patent. The watches retailed for $500 and featured hand engraved 12k gold plates and bridges, 23 jewels including 2 diamond endcaps, and an individual number, one for each of the 600 months of Gruen’s production
