The artist and an impression from this edition is cited in Carl Weiselberger’s exhibition review of the above exhibition in “Trend in Print-Making seen in exciting new show” Ottawa Citizen, May 11, 1964. He comments: “Shirley Wales’ plate “Kakistocracy” (who has been working in Paris) is etched in deep relief with two intaglio colours and three surface colours - an image of order triumphing over confusion.”
