MADONNA QUEEN OF THE ANGELS (THE VIRGIN SURROUNDED BY MANY ANGELS), 1518 [BARTSCH, 101; MEDER 211, II C (OF G, LEFT WITH THE MISSING LOWER CORNER)], IMPRESSION FROM 1590

Deep, black-inked woodcut on fine laid paper with indescernible watermark, part of a diagonal lozenge, possibly an escutcheon with diagonal beam (Meder 246) in the top centre of the sheet; signed with initial monogram and dated 1518 in the block "AD 1518" lower left.
