About artist/note:

Similar to Whistler’s "Black Lion's Wharf", lot 31 in this auction, Haden places a figure in the foreground. This print was done in the company of the Barbizon painter Charles-François Daubigny (1817–1878). His name is etched in the plate on the storefront in the background at left.
