Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2010 Syrah de Malakoff gives notes of bacon fat, aged meat and prunes with a background of figs, warm blackberries and vanilla, plus forest floor and anise hints. Medium to full-bodied, it offers great structure in the mouth going firm and herbal in the long finish. February 2015 WA 93
