Lot 282 Details
TENUTA SAN GUIDO SASSICAIA 2006 (1)

Tuscany.

This wine possesses a deep sense of inner elegance that is transmitted into tiny, elegant pulses that form a steady and meaningful continuum. Those fluid tones of small berry, blue flower and toasted almond build in intensity and momentum. The wine shows energy and vertical propulsion. WS 94 WA 96

TENUTA SAN GUIDO SASSICAIA 2007 (1)

Tuscany.

The 2007 Sassicaia (Cabernet Sauvignon) explodes onto the palate with masses of rich, opulent fruit that caress the palate with gorgeous length and a seamless beauty that is hard to fully capture. Dark wild cherries, plums, spices, minerals and herbs develop in the glass. TThe 2007 is more than a worthy follow-up to the profound 2006. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2037. WS 93 WA 95

TENUTA SAN GUIDO SASSICAIA 2008 (1)

Tuscany.

The 2008 Sassicaia is a rich, deep wine imbued with notable class in its black cherries, plums, grilled herbs, minerals and smoke. The 2008 is a decidedly buttoned-up, firm Sassicaia that is currently holding back much of its potential, unlike the 2006 and 2007, both of which were far more obvious wines. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2038. WS 94 WA 96

TENUTA SAN GUIDO SASSICAIA 2009 (1)

Tuscany.

Rich and silky, the 2009 Bolgheri Sassicaia offers a powerful rendition of this celebrated wine from coastal Tuscany. The wine opens to dark color saturation and thick aromatic layering that reveals a solid core of black fruit. That fruit is well preserved in terms of its freshness and overall integrity. It will serve the wine well as it evolves over the next two decades. WS 93 WA 96

TENUTA SAN GUIDO SASSICAIA 2010 (1)

Tuscany.
raised cork

The 2010 Sassicaia Bolgheri Sassicaia brings back some of the brambly rosemary and wild Mediterranean brush that was missing in 2009. This will greatly appeal to enthusiasts of Sassicaia’s trademark elegance. The wine shows extreme purity that brings its many beautiful aromas into startling focus and clarity. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2040. WS 94 WA 96

TENUTA SAN GUIDO SASSICAIA 2011 (1)

Tuscany.

The 2011 Sassicaia Bolgheri Sassicaia does not reach the awe-inspiring heights of the two previous vintages (2009 and 2010) that are both iconic in their beauty and pedigree. Drink: 2017-2029 WS 95 WA 94
