My favorite of the three single-vineyard releases, the 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape les Hautes Brusquieres Cuvee Speciale is a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah that comes from the Brusquières parcel located in the northern part of the appellation. This full-bodied, ripe, sexy 2007 is loaded with notions of black cherries, black currants, licorice and roasted herbs. It has the most texture and richness in the lineup and is drinking spectacularly well today, and it will easily keep for another 10-15 years. 96 WA
