Lot 507 Details
ABREU VINEYARDS CABERNET SAUVIGNON MADRONA RANCH 2001 (1)
Napa.

A candidate for perfection, the 2012 Madrona Ranch clearly includes a high percentage of Cabernet Franc (45%) in the blend given the extraordinary perfume this wine generates. An enormous blast of violets, mulberries, black currants and licorice-infused blackberries as well as hints of unsmoked cigar tobacco and forest floor soar from the glass of this full-bodied, voluptuously textured, inky-colored, dense, rich, pedal-to-the-metal proprietary red. This has virtually perfect balance, a flawless integration of all its component parts, and an enormous finish of close to a minute. This should turn out to be an amazing wine. Moreover, 2012 is a generous vintage in terms of production. This cuvee should drink well reasonably young and continue to evolve for 25-30+ years. 98 WS 100 WA

SINE QUA NON ATLANTIS FE 203 1A SYRAH 2005 (1)
California.

An extraordinarily flowery nose interwoven with scents of blueberries, blackberries, incense, and graphite soars from the glass. Although not the biggest or most concentrated Syrah Krankl has made, it is one of the most nuanced, elegant, and complex. It remains full-bodied, but builds incrementally on the palate, and comes across as elegant and delicate, especially when compared to many California Syrahs. Drink: 2008-2023 100 WA
