“COLLEGE CAMPUS” (MODERN GIRL ON THE PAKISTANI CAMPUS), CIRCA 1950 (WITH AN EARLIER SKETCH VERSO, 1930)

Watercolour over pencil on heavy paper, with a pencil drawing of a veiled woman dancing on the reverse from an earlier period, 1930; titled, dated and inscribed “circa 1950 but on a previous drawing of 1930”, annotated and certified by the artist’s son, Arif Rahman Chughtai at Lahore in 2016 and stamped by the Chughtai Museum Trust, Lahore, Pakistan verso. Unframed.
