HEAD OF A YOUNG MAN

Charcoal and red chalk drawing on blue laid paper, laid down to a later paper support with hand-ruled and gilt border; with an initial “R” in black ink bottom centre, with an unidentified impressed “G” initial blindstamp to the margin of the mount lower right, formerly given to and inscribed “Reni” and “Guido Reni/ 1575 1642” in pencil verso. Matted and unframed.
Sheet/Mounted 10.2" x 8.3" — 26 x 21.2 cm.; 13.8" x 11.8" — 35 x 30 cm.
