The drawings in this exhibition where this drawing was purchased by the present Canadian Private Collection derive from seven sketchbooks that were held at the Old Battersea House in the collection of Mrs. Wilhelmina Stirling, Evelyn de Morgan’s sister, who lived there until her death in 1965.
