Note:

Tasseor uses the original shape and texture of the stone in her carving. Her work is an honest depiction of the importance of women in creating and sustaining life. Here, four heads share one large body with only one set of arms defined by incised lines. Tasseor expressed “that she often thinks of family members and acquaintances as subjects in her carving.”
