CONDITION DETAILS

John Russell Harper was an eminent Canadian art historian and curator of Canadian art at the National Gallery of Canada from 1965-1968. In the introduction of this book he writes, “This collection of lino-cuts is inspired by native objects in the collections of the Royal Ontario Museum of Archaeology. They are works of several tribes: the Tlingit, Kwakiutl, Haida, Bella Coola, Tsimshian and Salish.”
