Note:
The accompanying letter from Sid Bersudsky states: Chalon is known to have painted at least three copies from his original sketches of the Queen in her robes.: one being in Germany, supposedly destroyed by RAF bombing during WWII; the second (being a watercolour) is in private hands in London, England. The third was exhibited in London in 1897 at the RA during the Queen's Jubilee.
A large mezzotint by Samuel Cousins was published in 1838 from Chalon's original painting. It was widely reproduced (initially on the Canadian '12 penny black postage stamp). The Queen's head appeared on over three hundred stamps and a number of bank notes in North America.
