The original is housed in the Uffizi Gallery, Florence, Italy. This work was painted by Manzuoli after the original executed circa 1526.

John Boehme was an antique dealer and auctioneer in La Jolla, California at his two shops (John Boehme Antiques located on La Jolla Blvd., and La Galerie, located on Center St. in La Jolla, CA) from 1972 – 1985 before moving to Victoria, B.C. where he owned Boehme Antiques located at 106 Superior St. in James Bay, Victoria, B.C.
