Note:

Kari Serrao is a Toronto-based, encaustic artist. Her exquisitely-detailed artworks are reminiscent of Baroque, Tudor and Elizabethan painted portraits. The distinct difference is that Kari uses animals and birds as her muse.

"The Duchess stares back at the viewer with a somewhat come-hither glance. She is proud while being humble, fierce yet gentle and through it all, majestic."
