Colour etching with soft ground etching on special handmade paper made by Barcham Green paper with Christie's own watermark, using 2 plates and 3 colours; signed, titled and numbered 92/150 in pencil to margin. Printed by Studio Prints. Published by Christie's Contemporary Art in an edition of 150 signed and numbered by the artist. Accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity from the Director of Christie's Contemporary Art.

Note:
Julian Trevelyan, nephew of historian G.M. Trevelyan was born in Dorking in 1910. In the early 1930s, he studied in Paris under S.W. Hayter. During this time period Trevelyan gained his reputation as a Surrealist painter. He has always been influenced by his travels to Malta, France, Italy, India and Africa. He lived in a studio overlooking the Thames at Chsiswick. He was married to the artist Mary Fedden.
