to “My Lord and Gentlemen’ dated ‘in the Downs, 8th June’ reporting on the situation of his squadron, the upcoming court martial of the Pilot and Master of the HMS Diamond and requesting a new master “to hasten that ye shipp may answer His Majesties commands in the channel as well as the rest of this squadron”
