Note:

While the inscription on the nameplate of the painting indicates Sir Alexander Livingstone lead the “forlorn hope” and carried the colours into Quebec in 1759; according to the Canadian War Museum, Livingstone is not recorded as having been present at the Battle of the Plains of Abraham.

Sir Alexander Livingstone died in 1795. His eldest son Sir Thomas succeeded to the title and estates, which he held until his death in 1853.
