Note:

Born in Yamagata Prefecture in 1920, Takahashi Keiten studied metal casting in 1950 under Nagano Tetsushi. His work was accepted into the Nitten exhibition of 1951. Since then, he has been awarded numerous prizes at craft fairs and exhibitions and has presented his work to the Showa Emperor and the Heisei Emperor. In 1996 he was designated Juyo Mukei Bunkazai (commonly known as a Living National Treasure).
